How to Sign a PDF on iPhone

The Markup tool in Files lets you scribble a signature on top of a page, but it doesn't understand checkboxes or text fields. Here's a way to actually fill out the form, right in Safari, with no app to download.

Four steps

Sign a PDF on iPhone

  1. 1Open pdkef.com/sign in Safari.
  2. 2Tap "Choose file" and pick the PDF from Files, or share it into the tool from Mail or Messages.
  3. 3Tap to fill in fields and add your signature, drawn with your finger, typed, or uploaded from a saved image.
  4. 4Tap Sign and Download. The signed PDF saves to your Files app, ready to share back.
Why not just use Markup

Markup is for scribbling, not filling out a form

The Markup tool built into Files and Mail is fine for dropping a signature onto a single page, but it doesn't recognize checkboxes or text fields, and there's no way to position things precisely before you're committed. PDkef fills real form fields directly and lets you place your signature exactly where it needs to go.
